Design Brief
A Service/App that empowers the artisans by serving as a knowledge centre, enabling collaboration between artisans, designers and architects around the country and helping them to directly connect and build a strong customer base, identify potential Indian and Global Markets along with aiding in creating awareness and promoting their respective arts and crafts.
The idea is also to deploy content in various Indian regional languages for easy, simple and best understanding and communication.

Further Scope
Client Pitch
The next step in this project is to pitch it to Mrs Vishpala Hundekari- Director & Founder of Ekibeki Association for her expert advice, views and interest in collaboration.
Ethnographic Research / Usability Testing
Due to COVID-19 travel restrictions, the ethnographic field research, primary research and cognitive walkthrough of the service could not be done. I wish to immerse myself in the context by visiting and meeting the artisans and getting feedback on the service from the primary stakeholders themselves.
App Integrations + Website / WebApp
Considering most Artisans coped with the COVID-19 pandemic by moving sales online and adopting technology, they are well versed with Whatsapp and some have Instagram pages too which enables future App Integrations Ideas.
While the Artisans are more comfortable (and own) with Mobile Phones, it has been noticed that most Customers make online purchases using their laptops and hence, the idea is to create a website/webapp of Via Shilpkar to ease and enhance the Customer’s user experience.
